This six workshop tarot intensive will lead a beginner student on a journey of inner growth and spiritual illumination.
Through lecture, practice, and play, Casey will help you foster a greater understanding of the ancient book of tarot in this modern landscape, with the aim of helping individuals create their own self-healing tarot practice.
The tarot is an incredible tool for self-discovery, and every modern witch should have some level of knowledge in this sacred art.
This tarot intensive's mantra is "Know Thyself," and through the lens of our own healing journeys, the sacred art of the tarot will become more clear to each of us.

A SCARLET SAGE SCHOOL OF TRADITIONAL HEALING ARTS CERTIFICATION
This level 1 tarot certification will help you craft your own self-directed tarot practice. This course (or equivalent knowledge) will be a pre-requisite for our level 2 intensive of advanced tarot reading skills."

Who is this certification for?
This intensive is designed for beginners.
Anyone who is deeply curious about tarot is welcomed to join us.
This class is great for those who would like to craft a serious tarot practice and are looking for a place to start, as well as anyone who is working on their intuitive development.
What you will learn from this course
This intensive is aimed at creating a solid foundation for future study.
Over the course of our meetings, we will work with the Major Arcana & Minor Arcana symbolism and meaning, understand Court Cards, discuss the ethics of divination, practice creating sacred space and connection with our higher-selves, and work towards giving our intuition a voice.
THE OUTLINE OF THE CERTIFICATION
- January: Intro to Tarot and Divinatory Practice
Initiation ~ We’ll begin by learning the history and mythology of the tarot. This foundation will ground us in our own practical application and lineage, which will incorporate ethics of divination, sacred inquiry and crafting intention, as well as defining our relationship with spirit, goddess, and the great mystery.
- February: Major Arcana Intensive
Philosophy ~ The Major Arcana is the heart and soul of the tarot. We will journey through the 22 Major Arcana archetypes through meditation, journaling, intuitive art crafting, and discussion.
- March: Minor Arcana: Wands & Swords
Tarot Mirrors ~ The Minor Arcana is a mirror of the Major Arcana. We will examine the symbolism of these tarot suits, and decode their practical and spiritual meanings. This week we will focus on the two active suits: wands & swords.
- April: Minor Arcana: Cups & Pentacles
Tarot Mirrors ~ The Minor Arcana is a mirror of the Major Arcana. We will examine the symbolism of these tarot suits, and decode their practical and spiritual meanings. This week we will focus on the two receptive suits: cups & pentacles.
- May: Court Cards
Tarot Family ~ The Court Cards represent stages of mastery along our path. Learn who the enigmatic Court Cards are, and learn your individual stage of personal mastery.
- June: Intuitive Readings
Intuitive Development ~ A good tarot reading begins with intention and a clear and open intuitive channel. We will set the stage for our divination through meditation and sacred inquiry, then employ different tarot spreads to help us gain clarity and psychic perception.
ABOUT THE TEACHER
Casey Zabala is an artist, tarot reader, practicing witch, and wandering mystic. Her self published tarot deck, Wanderer's Tarot, is a feminist tarot deck for modern witches. With 16 years of tarot experience, Casey has a studied and intuitive approach to her readings, while incorporating elements of natural magic and manifestation techniques to her offerings. She believes the tarot is a tool for personal empowerment and healing, and hopes to empower others to use the tarot as a vehicle for self-discovery.
Casey teaches mystical workshops which center on tarot and divination, and also include crystal healing, magical self-care, and principles of manifestation. Casey aims to guide individuals through their personal transformation with creativity and magic, by teaching ancient tools to modern seekers, while creating community along the way.
