Niaouli

Niaouli is a common tree found in Australia. It has a soft bark and pink heart wood with deep penetrating roots. It produces fragrant flowers and even the leaves themselves are anti-bacterial. It has a slightly sweet, fresh, musky and medicinal aroma. Naiouli is more gentle, less drying and softer in scent then tea tree making it an excellent option for many people with sensitive skin. Niaouli is a great alternative to tea tree essential oil as it has many similar properties. It is a powerful antiseptic, anti-fungal and anti-parasitic and great immune stimulant. It is good for the respiratory system and helpful for allergies. Niaouli paired with lavender can help protect and heal the skin from radiation burns during radiation therapies. It is great for burns, cuts and bug bites when applied to the skin. It is considered non-toxic, non-irritant and non-sensitizing making is safe for use with diverse populations
Niaouli is used in Veriditas Botanicals signature line of wellness formulas in the Acne Treatment, Athlete’s Foot and Eczema Treatment. In these formulas it acts to fight fungi, virus and bacteria and calm the skin. Added to water it makes an effective antiseptic wash for minor cuts and skin irritation. It is great for opening the sinuses and improving focus. The essential oil is immune stimulating and increases circulation to the area it’s applied. When added to salt scrubs, dry brush or massage oils it helps fight off illness. For a simple immune boosting treatment simply apply a few drops spread on the skin moments before jumping into the shower. Niaouli blends well with eucalyptus, rosemary, Douglas fir, Scotch pine, cedar, juniper, lavender, lemon, lime. Niaouli has a medicinal scent which is not suitable for most perfumes, however, it is ideal for antiseptic, acne and upper respiratory blends.*
