Video Recording: Medicine of the Season - Herbal Support for Springtime Health with Sarah Jane Fairless
Together we celebrate vernal vitality! In this session we focus on how to transition from the slow and stagnant energies of winter by supporting the body systems of our liver and lymph. Spring greens such as nettle and chickweed arrive to aid us in getting our juices flowing and helping our bodies adapt to seasonal struggles - can you say allergies?!
Sarah Jane will demo some recipes using our leafy green plant friends. Learn to make a DIY digestive bitters formula using ingredients that you can easily find in your grocery store or spice rack. We’ll also incorporate body techniques to revive our detoxification pathways. This class is a combination of lecture and hands-on learning.
A shopping guide will be provided in advance for those that want to participate in class.
This class is part one of a four part series: sign up for just one session or opt in for all four at a discounted price!
Required supplies:
- For bitters: An 8-16oz glass jar with a lid. 1-2 cups of vodka or brandy or apple cider vinegar if you want to make a non alcoholic version.
- A cutting board and knife.
- We will send out a brief grocery store list for 1-3 items in advance of class and will also be investigating your spice rack for additional possibilities.
Scholarships for BIPOC Are Available; please inquire.
