Medicinal Plant Walk - The Mission with Bonnie Rose Weaver | April 21, 11:30- 1 pm
Class Description: Join us for a walk around The Mission with Bonnie Rose Weaver of 1849 Medicine Garden and Scarlet Sage to learn about the plants that are growing at your doorstep -- literally! We will stroll down the street and learn to identify common medicinals that grow in between the cracks of the sidewalk, in city parks and which are commonly used in western herbalism today. We will discuss the traditional and modern use, folklore, and herbal preparation techniques. A fun and sensory class for tactile learners, open to all levels and ages.
The walk with start and end at The Scarlet Sage, 1193 Valencia St. SF, CA. We ask that all participants bring what they need to be comfortable being outside for two hours.
