Born into a spiritually-driven life in Tehran, Iran, at a time when her father was running the city’s only Hindu temple, Rohini's family traveled throughout India during her formative years, devoted to a yogic life full of spiritual studies and meditation. This path was altered by a massive religious-military upheaval in Iran, during which her father’s temple was seized; and Rohini and her family fled to the United States in 1989 as refugees. This uprooting caused a massive personal shift from a spiritually-oriented existence to a material-oriented one, disrupting her connection to her higher-self and evaporating many of the deep understandings from her childhood.
In what may sound like an all-too-familiar story for young people growing up in this ‘modern’ world, She navigated through adolescence and early adulthood on this profane plane by trying to fit in and numb the pain. A short stint in jail in her late twenties served as my wake-up call; it was her soul calling - “Hello, Rohini. Time to come back to your self.” So she stepped into her journey toward self-healing: a year later she was married to the love of her life, and she welcomed our beautiful daughter, Pele. An astrological reading in India in 2017 inspired her and her partner to add to their family, and they welcomed their second daughter, Rishi, on 2-18-18. She had carried her throughout a 6-month yoga teacher course, through an intense period of existential digging, and she survived a death-defying labor in which Rishi was delivered via emergency C-section, after both of their heartbeats dropped near zero and she lost her breathe for several minutes. Two months later, on 4-20-18, Rishi passed away in her sleep.
The grief she felt that day and for months afterwards was so great, so unbearable, that she had no choice but to put all of the spiritual work she had done thus far into overdrive. Nothing in the physical realm can remedy the pain of losing a child. But, in searching for a connection with Rishi, she re-found her Higher Self - and, within that, the forces that would help her heal! She saturated herself in the works of Walter Makichen, Elisa Romeo, and Dr. Maxwell Maltz , among many others. In the time that has passed since Rishi’s passing, She has studied the art of meditation with many teachers including Susan Piver, attained Reiki level 1 & 2 Certification with Dr. Eric Rubin (currently in a program to gain mastery), Yoga Teacher training certification via Ocean Beach Yoga, Breath-work training with Ashley Neese, Hypnotherapy training with Marissa Peer, and she also gained certification to become an Akashic Records practitioner with Dr. Linda Howe. You could say she created her own ‘soul degree’ with the best teachers in the business. From all of this knowledge and understanding, she is on a mission to offer her knowledge to the masses and has developed a unique program to aid in your awakening, healing, and manifesting journey. This truly profound set of techniques for self-realization and self-actualization will help you heal, grow, and create the life that you were born to live.
Rohini is now an Akashic Records practitioner, speaker, and spiritual teacher who resides in San Francisco with husband Luke, Daughter Pele, Son Donovan, and an entourage of her “mini-farm”: Atticus the pig, Patty the chicken, Sonny & Happy the bunnies, and Crystals & Flo-jo the doggies.
