Herb Walk in Glen Park with Bonnie Rose Weaver - March 15th, 10am-12pm - The Scarlet Sage Herb Co.

Join local herbalist Bonnie Rose Weaver on an herb walk through San Francisco’s beautiful Glen Park Canyon. Together we will explore the botanical bounty and plant medicine along the trails of this urban canyon.

We will discuss traditional and modern use, folklore, and herbal preparation techniques of the plants we encounter. The class with also include some local history and ecology information.

A fun and sensory class exploring one of San Francisco’s most wild parks, open to all levels and ages.

The walk will start and end outside of The Glen Park Recreation Center, 70 Elk Street in SF, CA.

Please wear a sunhat and good walking shoes. Bring a notebook, pen/pencil, an extra layer, and a water bottle.

 

About the teacher

Bonnie Rose Weaver is a clinical herbalist, medicinal landscaper, and lifelong San Franciscan.

She is an urban farmer, medicine maker, outdoor educator and is the author of Deeply Rooted: Medicinal Plant Cultivation in Techtropolis.

She has studied the use and cultivation of medicinal plants at The Blue Otter School of Herbal Medicine, The Chinese Medicinal Herb Farm, and Herb Pharm. She is an artist of watercolor and clay.

Out of respect for our teachers, we kindly ask you to cancel at least 24 hours in advance, as the seating for our classes is very limited. If you should have to cancel your registration, notification in writing should be sent by email. Please make sure you state your name and the name of the class in your email.

- An event credit in the amount of the original purchase price will be issued for cancellations received 24 hours prior to the start of the event. Please contact us by email to register for another class of your choice. Event credit is available for a period of six months - according to availability.

- No event credit will be issued for cancellations received within 24 hours of the event, nor failure to attend.
