Elderberry trees have been touted for centuries as medicinal remedies because their flower and berries are anti-viral, immune-boosting, and quite delicious. Elder can grow in the San Francisco climate very well - come and learn how to propagate elder in your backyard, community garden, or on your deck.

Learn how to nurture this ancient plant in your own garden. Learn how growing Elderberry supports local ecosystems and pollinators. In addition to Elderberry guidance, learn how to grow Milkweed to support Monarch butterflies.

Elderberry is BEAUTIFUL, easy to grow and easy to use.

Class Objective: Discuss how to successfully plant any plant. How to support Monarch butterflies planting demonstration.

No gardening experience required.

All are welcome, whether aspiring or experienced with plants.

About the teacher

Dr.Catie Morse is a Naturopathic Physician, Certified Qigong Practitioner and creator of Dr. Appleseed's Elderberry Extract.

Catie brings over 15 years of sustainable wild harvesting experience as well as cultivation of Elderberries and extraction.

Catie’s mission is to empower healing connections between people and plants in an effort to inspire more urban and agricultural plantings inclusive of edible, native and medicinal plants.

- An event credit in the amount of the original purchase price will be issued for cancellations received 24 hours prior to the start of the event. Please contact us by email to register for another class of your choice. Event credit is available for a period of six months - according to availability.

- No event credit will be issued for cancellations received within 24 hours of the event, nor failure to attend.
