About the teachers:
Shaina Kandel, Founder & CEO
Shaina brings 10 years’ experience in Business Development in the CPG industry, strategy and HR consulting. In her former role as Business Development Manager at Fair Trade, she advised top CPGs, like Coca-Cola and General Mills, on how their brands can best market to millennial consumers. Her prior work at top consulting firm, Mercer, was focused on creating strategies for improved health populations for SV companies like Adobe, Applied Materials, and more. She holds an MBA from Presidio School of Management and a BA in Organizational Development from the University of Michigan.
Alexis Travis, Co-Founder & COO
Alexis has served in various operations management roles, most recently before joining Moon + Leaf, as the Operations Manager for the Water Funder Initiative, a start-up project of multiple world-known foundations that identified and funded the most promising water solutions in the American West. Alexis was the second person hired for this project and built out the operations department from the ground up while managing a team of consultants and a multi-million-dollar budget. Alexis’s previous roles include Business Development Consultant at Smuin Ballet, a Strategic Management Consultant at Centro Community Partners, and as the head of Operations & Finance at Oxenrose, a multi-million beauty company in San Francisco. Alexis holds a BA in Social and Global Science from Antioch College and an MBA from Presidio Graduate School.
Events cancellation policy:
Out of respect for our teachers, we kindly ask you to cancel at least 24 hours in advance, as the seating for our classes is very limited. If you should have to cancel your registration, notification in writing should be sent by email. Please make sure you state your name and the name of the class in your email.
- An event credit in the amount of the original purchase price will be issued for cancellations received 24 hours prior to the start of the event. Please contact us by email to register for another class of your choice. Event credit is available for a period of six months - according to availability.
- No event credit will be issued for cancellations received within 24 hours of the event, nor failure to attend.
Our Wellness Space and School of Traditional Healing Arts is located below Scarlet Sage, and is not ADA compliant; you will need to walk down 15 stairs to access the classroom and the Wellness Space. Please let us know if you need help walking into the space. We apologize for the inconvenience.
