IN-PERSON: Ayurvedic Pulse Diagnosis Training with Drea Moore - February 4th + 5th, 12-5PM

$120
Ayurvedic pulse assessment is a complex diagnostic tool and revealing conversation with the body.

By reading the 'blood song,' aka the pulse, one can access the skills of ancient Indian medical practitioners who were able to:

    • accurately establish a patient’s elemental constitution from birth
    • assess the current strength of organs, tissues and body systems
    • provide vivid details and suggestions to promote overall balance and vitality for everyday living

... all from reading the different "layers" of pulses with zero technology!

In this 2-day weekend intensive taught by an experienced pulse practitioner, you will learn [and practice!] the basics of pulse assessment and enrich your understanding of Ayurvedic diagnostic tools, elemental theory and the doshas in a fun and educationally accessible way.

Discover your innate ability to read the pulse of yourself and others to inform and empower yourself to flow with the dynamic changes of your body through time, the seasons, and the varied textures of life.

By the end of the class, you will be able to perform basic pulse assessment and have a clear picture of how to develop this skill for yourself or your holistic health practice going forward.

NOTE: A basic understanding of Ayurveda is needed, as this class is focused on teaching three levels of the pulse readings to strengthen the assessor’s ability to vividly describe findings in language that honors Ayurvedic wisdom while merging modern holistic healing modalities.

If you're an herbalist, body worker, or wellness practitioner with an interest in learning more about Ayurvedic diagnostic tools or practicing in-person after only learning through online classes, you don't want to miss this 2-day intensive.

This class will be live in-person at The Scarlet Sage Herb Co., 1193 Valencia Street, San Francisco, CA 94110.

*COVID Protocols. Masks are required for all participants, although the teacher will be unmasked. Please do not come if you are feeling unwell. Thank you!

I am Drea Moore (cis female) located on occupied Coast Salish and S'Klallam tribal lands (Port Angeles, Washington) and I advocate and teach "sober" herbalism. I am a clinical herbalist currently working with private clients and writing a book about my work and research. I am also a core faculty member at the global online herb school, Land of Verse.

I formally trained in herbalism at the California School of Herbal Studies (3 years of programs) and I have more than 15 years of continuous sobriety with an active recovery program. Before I left California, I was running a free community herbal clinic in my area where I worked with the elderly, the unhoused, and abused women.

I bring consciousness and awareness to the writings, teachings, attitudes and language used to colonize medicine making practices and herbalism and therefore perpetuate myths and practices of exclusion. I voice a non-alcoholic perspective on herbalist practices wherever I teach and participate in wellness.

Contact me if you would like to know more about non-alcoholic herbalism, my classes, event appearances, conferences and symposiums, or my upcoming book.

I believe that we all deserve wellness regardless of class, race, gender, size, etc. I disrupt the obsession with vanity, purity and perfection in wellness spaces. I educate myself and others to foster awareness and compassion.
