Ayurvedic Holistic Health & Wellness Consultation with Naina Mathur Mahajan - The Scarlet Sage Herb Co.

Naina’s goal is now to share her therapeutic knowledge of holistic health care through the lense of her ayurvedic roots and heritage. She uses Ojas Ayurveda as the medium to educate on her proactive approach to preventing disease, and treating health through positive lifestyle adjustments that benefit people long term.

The rituals of ayurveda for stress management are easy and seamless in India, passed down through generations, just like your grandma’s cookie recipe. And Naina’s mission is to, through  Ojas Ayurveda, bring this ease to you. Ayurveda, as it should be.

About the session:

A one-on-one assessment of your current state of balance, and any issues in the mind and body for e.g. digestive, inflammation, fatigue, anxiety.

This will be followed by a diagnose and custom plan. The consult doesn’t stop here, for the next week onward, you’ll have a personal daily 1:1 check ins to help incorporate this program to restore your health and wellness, in line with your custom plan.

About Naina Mathur Mahajan:

Naina Mathur Mahajan grew up in India, where Ayurveda (ancient medicine and spiritual system from India, that focuses on body balance through herbal treatment, nutrition and yoga) was in her heritage and blood. She learned the balancing effects of the doshas from a young age, seeing their benefits firsthand through simple practices adopted and passed on by family, throughout generations, for a healthful life.From DIY kitchen pantry face masks, to golden lattes made with turmeric, coconut oil head massages or to tea with ginger to soothe a tummy ache, these were things she naturally turned to.

As a recent immigrant to the US, helping people live a holistic and stress free life has been Naina’s mission since the age of 18, when she decided pursue an academic career in mental illness. Naina completed her undergraduate and graduate studies in the UK, where she obtained PhD in Psychology and Behavioral Neuroscience. She also held a postdoctoral position at the NYU Langone Medical center where she spent time studying the genetic underpinnings of mental illness. It’s at this time that she became fascinated with chronic stress and its impact on health. Elevated cortisol levels and inflammation—can wear us out on the systemic level, from the cellular level on up to our major physical- biological systems and in the emotional landscape (mind); because chronic stress and stress-related disorders, increase the risk for heart disease, they directly impact the quality and longevity of life.

Although Naina grew up with Ayurveda, it wasn't until years later that she immersed herself into learning the art and science behind it. It was around the time she got involved with her local Buddhist center that her love for mindfulness and stress management began, and Ojas Ayurveda was born.

Naina continues to expand my knowledge on this ancient medicinal system by surrounding myself with practitioners (including Pratima Raichur, the pioneer who brought Ayurveda to NYC in the 1970's), books and scientific research. She also teaches workshops in the Bay area as well as private consultations .

Naina lives in San Francisco, and her brand is Ojas Ayurveda. In Ayurveda,Ojas is the life force, it is fuel for our strength, immunity, mental wellness and a long, healthful life. It is the vital essence which sustains our physical vitality, mental clarity, and overall health.

Cost of the sessions:

  • First Visit, 50 minutes (Initial Consultation + 1 week daily follow ups) : $100
  • Follow-up consultation, 30 minutes : $50

*Please note that we only charge 50% of the fee up front as a deposit. The other half of the total amount will have to be paid directly to the practitioner the day of your appointment at the Scarlet Sage Wellness Space.

Cancellation Policy:

Your appointments are very important to all members of our team at The Scarlet Sage Wellness Space. Time allocated for an appointment is reserved especially for you. We do understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary; therefore, we respectfully request at least 48 hours notice for adjustments to your appointments and for cancellations.

If you should have to cancel or reschedule your appointment, the notification should be sent by email. Please make sure you state your name, the original date and time of your appointment and the name of the practitioner.

- Notification given at least 48 hours prior to your appointment will receive no charges.

- Notification given less than 48 hours prior to appointment time or failure to show up will result in a non-refundable 50% deposit fee.

Arrival:
Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment so you can decompress. To maintain the blissfulness of the wellness space, we ask that you silence your mobile phones and electronic devices upon arrival. When arriving, please wait in the store for your appointed time. When the appointed time arrives, please ring the bell and your practitioner will buzz you in. The door can be tricky, please push in instead of turning the knob. 

Regretfully, untimely arrivals may be subject to reduced treatment time, in order to remain on schedule for subsequent guests.
