Laura Ash acquired Scarlet Sage in 2015 on its 20th anniversary. Since then, Laura and the Scarlet Sage staff have created a private line of organic products: herbal teas, bath salts, essential oil sprays, botanical skincare, body oils, lotions, tincture, supplements, and candles. Laura opened the School of Traditional Healing Arts in 2018 in the basement of Scarlet Sage. The store was thriving with a strong community and bustling neighborhood.

Since, COVID we have struggled to stay afloat. Many of you, our most trusted customers, have left the Mission or the city entirely. We see your beautiful faces from time to time when you're visiting, but not the weekly or monthly visits any longer.

We have been able to manage with funds from the government and from you, our customers. Yet, our foot traffic has not returned and we need to move to a neighborhood with a stronger customer base.

After these last three years of holding on to our current location and waiting for the line of customers to get longer, we've been elbows deep in the process of looking at new neighborhoods for us to hang our shingle.

Drumroll please ... we have signed a lease. We are moving to the Upper Fillmore at the end of June. Our new location is 1903 Fillmore St.

This news is coming to you with joy and tears.

The Mission has been our home for 28 years, but the time has come to move to a new neighborhood in order for our business to survive.
