In this class, we will go over which herbs are best for general well-being and common issues that often occur. Students will learn to identify signs and symptoms of illness in their four-legged companions and build confidence to use herbs safely.
We'll discuss proper dosage and delivery methods that work well for ease of treatment and ensuring compliance. You will learn how to make a nutritive and herb-infused sprinkle that pets love!
You will also receive a quick reference guide of 30 herbs and their uses with contraindications to make giving your little buddy plant medicine a breeze.
This class is suitable for beginners and herbalists of all levels.
Sarah Jane Fairless is a certified clinical Western herbalist, educator, and ardent lover of nature. Her passion was sparked by growing up and working on family farms alongside her grandparents who taught her about the intimate connection and bountiful rewards of stewarding the land, raising and caring for animals, and living in harmony with the seasons.
Sarah Jane maintains a private clinical practice in San Francisco, in the Mission district. Her clients are humans and non-humans of all walks of life. She makes potent plant medicines and teaches classes about herbalism and holistic self-care. She has been a core faculty member for the Berkeley Herbal Center's herbalist training program and is currently serving as faculty for Scarlet Sage's online Land of Verse certification program. She has also worked at Slide Ranch as an environmental educator and goat caretaker.
